About York County Criminal History

York County criminal records are divided among local police, Central Processing, the Clerk of Courts, Pennsylvania State Police, corrections agencies, and the Pennsylvania Megan's Law Public Website. We organize the verified portals, counters, telephone lines, fees, and request routes so readers can identify the office that created the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Pennsylvania provides several public access routes, but each answers a different question. York County Central Processing creates booking data, the Clerk of Courts keeps Common Pleas criminal files, and local police retain their own incident reports. Pennsylvania State Police maintains the central repository and PATCH service. State corrections and the Pennsylvania Megan's Law Public Website cover other defined records. This site brings those official routes together without treating one source as a complete record.

What You Will Find Here

  • Local record routes: how York County court, booking, warrant, police, and custody sources differ
  • Official check details: how PATCH name checks, subject Access and Review records, and fingerprint channels work
  • Verified contacts: where to reach the York Clerk, Sheriff's Office, Central Processing, and state systems
  • Record relief information: where Pennsylvania expungement and limited-access petitions begin

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, not part of York County or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its role is limited:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that a published phone number, fee, address, or access rule has not changed

An official record must come from its custodian, such as the Clerk of Courts, the arresting agency, York County Central Processing, or Pennsylvania State Police.

Search Partners

Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their own services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operations. We do not set partner charges or control the information they return.
